Resident Resources 

A goal of East  Somerville Main Streets is to promote East Somerville as a viable place to live, work and play.  Below are some resources to Somerville residents available through the city and other community partners:

Somerville ESOL Project


Bunker Hill Community College and The Welcome Project are offering no-cost English as a Second Language Classes in fall 2020 and spring 2021 through generous support from the City of Somerville.

 

To qualify for these classes, you must:

​

  • Be a Somerville Resident

  • Be age 18 or older

  • Be able to prove that you are from a low-income household

​

 All levels of English learners welcome!

The program will include customer service-focused training and job-seeking skills.

Day and evening classes will be held online, at The Welcome Project in Somerville, and at Bunker Hill Community College in Charlestown.

Through the Mayor's Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development (OSPCD) the City of Somerville offers a variety of programs and services that benefit both homeowners and tenants.
